Through their hospitality, you revealed your promise and your power to bring new life where hope seemed impossible. As we present these gifts, receive them as signs of our gratitude and trust. Use our offerings to extend welcome to those who feel alone, encouragement to those who have lost hope, and care to those in need. When we doubt what you can do through us, remind us that nothing is too wonderful for you. As soon as he saw them, he ran from his tent entrance to greet them and bowed deeply.\u00a0He said, \u201cSirs, if you would be so kind, don\u2019t just pass by your servant.\u00a0Let a little water be brought so you may wash your feet and refresh yourselves under the tree.\u00a0Let me offer you a little bread so you will feel stronger, and after that you may leave your servant and go on your way\u2014since you have visited your servant.\u201d They responded, \u201cFine. Do just as you have said. So Abraham hurried to Sarah at his tent and said, \u201cHurry! Knead three seahs\u00a0of the finest flour and make some baked goods!\u201d\u00a0Abraham ran to the cattle, took a healthy young calf, and gave it to a young servant, who prepared it quickly.\u00a0Then Abraham took butter, milk, and the calf that had been prepared, put the food in front of them, and stood under the tree near them as they ate. They said to him, \u201cWhere\u2019s your wife Sarah?\u201d And he said, \u201cRight here in the tent.\u201d Then one of the men said, \u201cI will definitely return to you about this time next year. Then your wife Sarah will have a son!\u201d Sarah was listening at the tent door behind him.\u00a0Now Abraham and Sarah were both very old. Sarah was no longer menstruating.\u00a0So Sarah laughed to herself, thinking, I\u2019m no longer able to have children and my husband\u2019s old. The\u00a0Lord\u00a0said to Abraham, \u201cWhy did Sarah laugh and say, \u2018Me give birth? At my age?\u2019\u00a0Is anything too difficult for the\u00a0Lord? When I return to you about this time next year, Sarah will have a son.\u201d Sarah lied and said, \u201cI didn\u2019t laugh,\u201d because she was frightened. But he said, \u201cNo, you laughed.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u271f New Testament: Romans 5:1-5 (CEB) <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Therefore, since we have been made righteous through his faithfulness,&nbsp;we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.&nbsp;We have access by faith into this grace in which we stand through him, and we boast in the hope of God\u2019s glory.&nbsp;But not only that! We even take pride in our problems, because we know that trouble produces endurance,&nbsp;endurance produces character, and character produces hope.&nbsp;This hope doesn\u2019t put us to shame, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">L: The word of God, for the People of God,<br><strong>P: Thanks be to God!
