A very short history of our church: Community United Methodist Church was founded in 1917. Occasional worship services were held in Keenesburg, starting in 1915. In 1917, the current church was organized as a Methodist Episcopal Church. Construction on our building began in 1927, and the cornerstone was laid on December 3, 1928. The building was dedicated on June, 30, 1929 as the Methodist Episcopal Community Church.
