✟WELCOME & ANNOUCEMENTS:
✟OPENING PRAYER: Rev. Allan Wintersteen
✟HYMN: #156 – I Love to Tell the Story (V. 1, 2, & 4)
1. I love to tell the story
of unseen things above,
of Jesus and his glory,
of Jesus and his love.
I love to tell the story,
because I know ’tis true;
it satisfies my longings
as nothing else can do.
Refrain:
I love to tell the story,
’twill be my theme in glory,
to tell the old, old story
of Jesus and his love.
2. I love to tell the story;
more wonderful it seems
than all the golden fancies
of all our golden dreams.
I love to tell the story,
it did so much for me;
and that is just the reason
I tell it now to thee. [Refrain]
4. I love to tell the story,
for those who know it best
seem hungering and thirsting
to hear it like the rest.
And when, in scenes of glory,
I sing the new, new song,
’twill be the old, old story
that I have loved so long. [Refrain]
✟CALL TO WORSHIP:
L: Come, let us gather in the presence of the God of the impossible.
P: Where God’s promises seem too good to be true, we bring our quiet, hidden doubts.
L: Yet the Lord asks us today: “Is anything too wonderful for the Lord?
P: Our God meets us in ordinary places to speak words of unimaginable grace.
L: Cast aside your fears and your silent laughter of disbelief.
P: Cast aside your fears and your silent laughter of disbelief. Come, let us worship the Lord, who makes the barren places fruitful and fills our mouths with laughter.
♬HYMN: #451 – Be Thou My Vision (All Verses)
1. Be thou my vision, O Lord of my heart;
Naught be all else to me save that thou art.
Thou my best thought by day and by night;
Waking or sleeping, thy presence my light.
2. Be thou my wisdom, and thou my true Word;
I ever with thee and thou with me, Lord.
Thou my great Father, I thy dear child;
Thou in me dwelling, with thee reconciled.
3. Great God of Heaven, my victory won,
May I reach Heaven’s joys, O bright Heav’ns Sun!
Heart of my heart, whatever befall,
Still be my vision, O Ruler of all.

✟CONGREATIONAL JOYS AND CONCERNS:
✟PASTORAL & THE LORD’S PRAYER: Rev. Allan Wintersteen
Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy Name,
thy kingdom come,
thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory
for ever and ever. Amen.
✟OFFERTORY PRAYER:
Gracious and generous God, we thank you for the story of Abraham and Sarah, who welcomed strangers and discovered your presence in their midst. Through their hospitality, you revealed your promise and your power to bring new life where hope seemed impossible. As we present these gifts, receive them as signs of our gratitude and trust. Use our offerings to extend welcome to those who feel alone, encouragement to those who have lost hope, and care to those in need. When we doubt what you can do through us, remind us that nothing is too wonderful for you. Amen.

✟READING THE WORD: (Screens & Bulletin)
Old Testament: Genesis 18:1-15 (CEB)
The Lord appeared to Abraham at the oaks of Mamre while he sat at the entrance of his tent in the day’s heat. He looked up and suddenly saw three men standing near him. As soon as he saw them, he ran from his tent entrance to greet them and bowed deeply. He said, “Sirs, if you would be so kind, don’t just pass by your servant. Let a little water be brought so you may wash your feet and refresh yourselves under the tree. Let me offer you a little bread so you will feel stronger, and after that you may leave your servant and go on your way—since you have visited your servant.” They responded, “Fine. Do just as you have said. So Abraham hurried to Sarah at his tent and said, “Hurry! Knead three seahs of the finest flour and make some baked goods!” Abraham ran to the cattle, took a healthy young calf, and gave it to a young servant, who prepared it quickly. Then Abraham took butter, milk, and the calf that had been prepared, put the food in front of them, and stood under the tree near them as they ate. They said to him, “Where’s your wife Sarah?” And he said, “Right here in the tent.” Then one of the men said, “I will definitely return to you about this time next year. Then your wife Sarah will have a son!” Sarah was listening at the tent door behind him. Now Abraham and Sarah were both very old. Sarah was no longer menstruating. So Sarah laughed to herself, thinking, I’m no longer able to have children and my husband’s old. The Lord said to Abraham, “Why did Sarah laugh and say, ‘Me give birth? At my age?’ Is anything too difficult for the Lord? When I return to you about this time next year, Sarah will have a son.” Sarah lied and said, “I didn’t laugh,” because she was frightened. But he said, “No, you laughed.”
✟ New Testament: Romans 5:1-5 (CEB)
Therefore, since we have been made righteous through his faithfulness, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. We have access by faith into this grace in which we stand through him, and we boast in the hope of God’s glory. But not only that! We even take pride in our problems, because we know that trouble produces endurance, endurance produces character, and character produces hope. This hope doesn’t put us to shame, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.
L: The word of God, for the People of God,
P: Thanks be to God! AMEN.
✟GLORIA PATRI: #70 – Glory Be to the Father
Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost;
as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be,
world without end. Amen. Amen.
✟TODAYS MESSAGE: Laughter
✟HYMN: #454 – Open My Eyes, that I May See (All Verses)
1. Open my eyes, that I may see
glimpses of truth thou hast for me;
place in my hands the wonderful key
that shall unclasp and set me free.
Silently now I wait for thee,
ready, my God, thy will to see.
Open my eyes, illumine me, Spirit divine!
2. Open my ears, that I may hear
voices of truth thou sendest clear;
and while the wavenotes fall on my ear,
everything false will disappear.
Silently now I wait for thee,
ready, my God, thy will to see.
Open my ears, illumine me, Spirit divine!
3. Open my mouth, and let me bear
gladly the warm truth everywhere;
open my heart and let me prepare
love with thy children thus to share.
Silently now I wait for thee,
ready, my God, thy will to see.
Open my heart, illumine me, Spirit divine!
